Government College University Lahore has opened another round of Fall 2026 admissions for selected undergraduate programmes, along with two forensic science courses. Applications for this third phase are due by October 2, 2026. The university is also offering a 60% scholarship for students admitted to specified BS programmes.
The available programmes are split between GCU’s Main Campus on Katchery Road, Lahore, and its New Campus at Kala Shah Kaku. Applicants should check the campus and class timing for their chosen subject before submitting a form.
Which programmes are open?
At the Main Campus, applications are open for BS Biology, Botany, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Physics and Zoology. Physics is listed as an evening programme; the other programmes in this group are listed for the morning session.
The Kala Shah Kaku campus is offering morning classes in BFA Visual Arts, BFA Film and Digital Arts, Disaster Management, Geography, Mathematics, and Remote Sensing and GIS. GCU has also listed two evening courses at the Main Campus: a 6 month Certificate in Forensic Science and a 1 year Diploma in Forensic Science.
Where does the 60% scholarship apply?
The scholarship is tied to particular BS subjects, so applicants should not assume it covers every programme advertised in this phase. The listed subjects are
| Campus | BS subjects listed for the scholarship |
|---|---|
| Main Campus | Library and Information Science, Persian, Punjabi, Philosophy, Translation Studies, Turkish Language and Literature, Urdu |
| Kala Shah Kaku | Agriculture, Archive Studies, Art History, Global Studies, History, Islamic Studies, Physical Education |
The reports describe the award as a 60% scholarship but do not clearly set out which fee components it covers. Students comparing costs should confirm the payable amount through GCU’s admission portal before making a decision.
Tests, fees and application deadline
Admission to most BS programmes is based on Intermediate Part I or equivalent marks, without a separate entrance test. BFA applicants must take an entrance test. Candidates for BS Physical Education must take a Physical Efficiency Test scheduled for October 4, 2026, at the Main Campus.
The reported application processing fee is Rs. 1,000 for a BS or diploma application and Rs. 500 for a certificate application. GCU’s application guidance directs candidates to complete the form through its online admission portal and pay the fee at a UBL branch. It says mobile app and UBL Omni payments are not accepted.
Applicants should submit their forms by October 2, 2026, and check the portal for any test instructions and subsequent merit list updates. GCU’s general admissions page was still displaying Phase II material when checked, so candidates should use the live portal to confirm the Phase III programme choices and instructions before paying a fee.
