Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the sudden postponement of the upcoming General Recruitment Tests for Phase-III/2026. This decision affects candidates scheduled to take their competitive exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially at the Peshawar and D.I. Khan centers.
According to the commission’s official public notice issued on October 11, 2026, the exams planned for October 12 through October 19 have been temporarily suspended.
FPSC said the postponement directly reflects the current situation on the ground in these regions.
Furthermore, the authorities reviewed urgent requests and concerns from anxious candidates and local invigilating staff who will manage the exam centers. Ensuring a safe, fair, and smooth testing environment is the commission’s priority right now.
However, if you are a candidate stationed outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, you do not have to worry or change your preparation plans. FPSC has made it clear that the recruitment tests scheduled in all other provinces and areas of the country will continue as planned. There are zero changes to the notified schedule for those respective regions.
For affected students in Peshawar and D.I. Khan, FPSC will officially release a revised timetable for the postponed tests later.
Candidates are urged to follow the official FPSC website (www.fpsc.gov.pk) to avoid rumors and misinformation on social media. The best way to stay up to date with the latest official update on the new test dates is to check the portal regularly.
