Eligibility Criteria, Qualification and Experience
The CEO position is intended for a senior professional with substantial leadership experience in business, finance, insurance, governance or a related commercial field. Candidates must meet the education and experience requirements to apply for this job.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the qualification routes.
- A 16 years of education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, Marketing or an equivalent field from an HEC recognised institution. An equivalent foreign qualification recognised by HEC is also acceptable.
- An Associate or Fellow qualification from the Institute of Actuaries in the UK or Society of Actuaries in the US, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Pakistan Society of Actuaries; or a Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management or Actuarial Sciences from an HEC recognised university.

Experience Requirements
Candidates must have at least 10 years of demonstrable experience in
- Governance, business administration, finance, commerce, marketing or another relevant field in a recognised organisation with a commercial orientation.
- Senior management position as a Chief Executive in a similar organisation with commercial responsibilities.
- Membership of a professional institute’s governing body or experience as a department head.
A minimum of 5 years out of 10 years, as Key Officer, Director, Chief Executive or Principal Officer of an insurance company or as an officer of the Insurance Regulator under the Insurance Companies (Sound and Prudent Management) Regulations, 2012 in the insurance industry.
Age Limit and Nationality
The maximum age limit is 62 years. Only Pakistani citizens are eligible.
Salary and Contract Terms
PRCL has not announced a fixed salary amount. The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary aligned with the market.
The contract will be for 3 years, and the position will be evaluated for the continuation of the contract. Applicants are required to also meet the relevant Fit and Proper Criteria of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, and the insurance regulations.
